Wow! Can't believe it's already mid March! My little baby is growing and growing! She weighs over 5 kilos now, and is totally breaking my back.
She is even sleeping by herself now in her own crib (yay! at last! I was mentally preparing myself and R. to co-sleep with her until her 2nd birthday). Of course, there's a little secret behind that...I have to rock her to sleep first, this can take up to 45 minutes, thus the back breaking, and then gently put her in her bed. She usually starts waking up so I pop the pacifier into her mouth and she'll suckle away to Dreamland. Some nights she's out in a flash without the pacifier, but those are rare occasions. She's sleeping longer stretches at night (4.5 hours) so I get some more sleep too. But I will have to admit that that first night we put her in her crib I felt so miserable and awful and sad. I almost wanted her to fuss for me to have a good reason to pick her up and snuggle into bed with her. Not a chance! She's a big girl now!

Of course I still sneak in for one or two naps with her...can't blame a Mommy for loving a snuggle with Baby.
