Yay! Grandma M. finally brought her highchair over! Madeleine's so happy to eat like a real girl, at the table with the rest of us! And it's much easier on Mama's back too when it's meal time!
I've been spending my free time making all sorts of purees: potato, pear, prunes, apricots, chicken, etc...it actually takes quite a bit of time to get organised but I have a little stash now in the freezer. I've also given her a big of whole milk yoghurt and she seems to love it.
I have a hard time knowing what to introduce when, and there seem to be lots of differences between France and say the US when it comes to foods like dairy, soy, fish, and eggs. In France, it seems like 7 months is about the time when you start introducing all of that so that's what I'm going to go by.
Madeleine had her first fever last weekend, it sort of came out of nowhere, and left quite fast too. She had 2 days of relatively high fever, and on the third day, no more fever but a bout of red spots all over her body and face. We called the doctor, and after telling us to try and lower her body temperature if she had a fever and wait 3 days in a 5 minute consultation , he left speedily with his 74euro check. Ouch...

We will be heading off to l'Ile d'Yeu, an island off the western coast of France in a week's time for 2 weeks for some well deserved vacation with R.'s family, so I'll be back with photos of our first family vacation. Happy summer to all!
