Talence is a suburb of Bordeaux where G. is doing her internship. Madeleine and I seized the opportunity to go visit her and little Pookie this past weekend. It was the first time I was taking the train alone with Madeleine so I was a bit nervous, but she was a darling angel on the way over (a little less on the way back).
She squealed with delight when she saw Pookie this time, and tried to grab her ears. Pookie, who was very curious to know what this little creature was all about, tried to sniff her during her naps...but I think this may just be the beginning of a love story...
On Sunday, we headed over to Arcachon Beach, but of course, I didn't get a tan since I was in the shade the whole time with Madeleine while Pookie and G. splashed about in the ocean. Dogs were not allowed on the beach, but then again, we're in France, so nobody cares about the rules. The sun was blazing the whole day so we got her a pair of baby sunglasses. We'll be needing them come August when we go to l'Ile d'Yeu for 2 weeks.
G.'s delicious bobun!
We made her a seat out of a suitcase since she can't sit yet. She seemed to enjoy it. What a great trip, though short, but there ain't a thing like catching with the sis, and laughing about old times.
Yay, sounds like you had an awesome time! The bit about being in France and nobody caring about the rules made me giggle. There's definitely nothing better than spending some time with your sis. When mine comes upstairs (they live in the apartment unit downstairs so it's pretty awesome), I pawn Natalie off to her coz she's still got the super mother's touch and Natalie falls asleep pretty much straight away. Pretty amazing. When your little sis has a baby, you'll be the super mama ;)
